New AC/DC Album To Be A Wal Mart Exclusive


The Wall Street Journal reports Wal Mart to be the exclusive retailer of AC/DC's lastest album in the US. The new album, title unknown as of yet, is expected to be released in late fall.

AC/DC is one of only a few classic rock bands to deny resale rights to Apple Itunes, and for that matter to any online retailer.

The new album was produced by Brendan O'Brien, and is AC/DC's first album since "Stiff Upper Lip", and will be released under the Columbia label. Fans can expect a world tour to follow the release.

Jimmy Page Confirms More Shows For Led Zeppelin

Jimmy Page spoke to The Telegraph after performing with the Foo Fighters in London, last Saturday night. He said Led Zeppelin has plans for more shows, but a full world tour was out of the question due to, lead singer, Robert Plant's prior commitments. These show will not take place until the second half of 2009.

Robert Plant is currently touring the US with singer Alison Krauss in support of their recently released, duet album.

Hard Rock Theme Park Opens!

Myrtle Beach, SC. - A new theme park has opened it's gates, based on Hard Rock Cafe's, the new Hard Rock Park, opened to performances by The Eagles, and The Moody Blues.

The park located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, features roller coasters and other thrill rides set to the tunes of classic rock bands like, Led Zeppelin, and The Eagles.

Hard Rock Park, features different areas to appeal to the likes of fans. "Brittish Invasion", "Born In The USA", and "Rock And Roll Heaven", are the various themes inside Hard Rock Park.

Inside Hard Rock Park, you can find a 70 foot Les Paul Guitar, a reproduction of the Statue of Liberty holding a Zippo lighter, and sporting sunglasses, and emblazoned on her pedestal the words "Keep On Rockin' In The Free World". Also, an amazing memorial to 350 rock musicians who are no longer with us.

Van Halen Tour Pays Off


The tour that most thought wouldn't make it to the end surprisingly, did, and has paid off. Van Halen, reportedly, has made a whopping $93 million dollars on this last tour. This despite, the firing of bassist Michael Anthony, and Eddie's mysterious illness which caused many shows to be postponed.

The tour ended in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on June 3.

Although, no further plans for Van Halen have been released as of yet, singer David Lee Roth has been reported saying, "exciting developments", have been planned.
